The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is an impressive addition to any home security system. With its stunning 2K video quality and advanced features like Bird’s Eye View and 3D Motion Detection, it’s designed to provide comprehensive surveillance. The motion-activated LED floodlights illuminate the area effectively, making it a dual-purpose device for both security and outdoor lighting.
Installation was straightforward, and I appreciated the ability to monitor multiple areas through the Ring app, allowing for real-time updates and notifications. The two-way talk feature is particularly useful for communicating with visitors or even deterring unwanted guests. The integration with Alexa adds an extra layer of convenience, enabling voice commands and live video feeds on compatible devices.
While some users have noted the color of the floodlight as somewhat yellowish compared to other models, I found it to be adequate and not a deal-breaker. However, having the option to adjust the brightness or choose different light colors would enhance usability, especially for those concerned about attracting bugs.
Overall, this product delivers on its promise of security and functionality. The added subscription options for continuous recording are worth considering if you want to keep a closer eye on your home. I would highly recommend the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor security setup.

This camera produces exceptionally clear videos. I recommend subscribing to the $5 monthly plan for playback recordings. I would certainly purchase another one if necessary.

I’ve used several Plus models for a while and they perform well, but I wanted to enhance one area at the front of my house, so I decided to try the Pro model, despite some negative feedback. I’m really glad I made the switch!

Here are my thoughts on three common criticisms of the Pro model:

    1. Some reviewers have mentioned the floodlight’s color. I agree that the Pro emits a yellowish light compared to the whiter tone of the Plus. I find it puzzling since cooler LED lights are the norm for outdoor use. If given a choice, I’d prefer the Plus’s light color, but the Pro’s isn’t bothersome or a deal breaker. In fact, it matches well with my 3000K LED bulbs at the front of my house.

    2. Regarding the Pro’s light output being less than that of the Plus, I have to disagree. While the Pro does have a warmer hue, I believe it is actually brighter. People often misinterpret light color temperature as brightness, but it can be deceiving. I currently have both models mounted one above the other for comparison, and I genuinely feel that the Pro lights are brighter.

    3. As for the camera quality, some claim the Pro’s camera is no better than the Plus. While this might be true in certain instances, the big advantage of the Pro is its HDR capability. I bought it specifically for this feature since the front of my house faces east, and in the afternoon, the sun creates a stark contrast between the bright street and the shadowed driveway. The HDR technology is a game changer—it allows both areas to be clearly visible without overexposing the bright parts. I can’t share a photo due to privacy concerns, but the difference is remarkable. If you don’t have a similar situation, the camera performance may be comparable between the two models.

Thanks to a great Black Friday deal, I got the Pro model at an excellent price, which motivated me to give it a shot. I’m keeping it and relocating one of my Plus cameras elsewhere on the house! While the Pro may not justify its price for everyone, it truly shines in the right circumstances.

This product didn’t meet my expectations. I would prefer an option to disable the lights completely, and it would be great if they used orange bug lights to avoid attracting insects when they turn on. Additionally, being able to dim the lights would help since I have them angled upwards, and the brightness is blinding when approaching my door. I have bees in my yard, and it’s challenging to enter my home at night without being swarmed by them due to the intense light. This setup might work better on the back of the house or above a garage. I hope they create a more front door-friendly light/camera in the future.

I purchased one of these a while ago and have been extremely satisfied with it. I use it to monitor the pool in my backyard and observe wildlife, though it also serves as an excellent security feature. The floodlight capability is outstanding and was a major reason for my choice.

I just bought another one for the area near my garage door. Now I have complete coverage of my backyard and additional lighting for my barbecue area. Plus, since I have the Ring doorbell, I can conveniently view all three cameras from the app, which is a fantastic feature.
